Preparing for University is designed as a two-week residential course. The course will take place from Saturday 15 to Saturday 29th July 2017.
A small number of non-residential places are also available. Non-residential students will attend the course from Monday 17 to Friday 28 July 2017 (Monday to Friday only).
The total cost for the Preparing for University course is £2800.
This fee includes:
- Tuition fees for the two-week course
- Catered accommodation in single study bedrooms (breakfast and dinner included)
- Course materials and equipment
- Academic trips and excursions
- Social programme including evening and cultural events
- Airport pick-up and drop-off at Edinburgh International Airport
Additional fees may apply for visa applications. These are not directly payable to the Summer School.
In order to secure their offered course place, students will be required to provide a deposit payment of £125, inclusive of a non-refundable £50 application fee. The deposit payment will be redeemable against count towards your Summer School package payment. Ways of making payment are detailed here.
Parents are responsible for making the travel arrangements for students to reach Edinburgh.

Students should arrive in Edinburgh on Saturday 15th July 2017. All students will be met by a member of the Summer School team at Edinburgh International Airport and will be accompanied to their University accommodation.
Non-residential students should arrive at the University of Edinburgh. Information about the induction venue will be communicated to the students ahead of the course start date.
